History and Films of New York City Class
 

Class Overview

New York City has developed rapidly since the mid-1800s into a modern city. We will examine the history of the city and see how some key events and time periods have been portrayed in film.

Along with selected readings, we will view films based on real events or depict a time, a period or an era in the city's history.
